Open Enrollment Promotion, Health Connector shopping tools and member resources

The Health Connector has newly updated promotional materials, online shopping tools and downloadable member resources - in more languages - to help people make decisions about their health insurance coverage for plan year 2025.  Many of the resources described below can be easily accessed from the Health Connector’s renewal page: MAhealthconnector.org/renew.  

• Help promote Open Enrollment: The Health Connector’s 2025 Open Enrollment Toolkit – Massachusetts Health Connector is now available with a variety of materials such as sample messages and downloadable images to promote this enrollment season on various social media platforms. 

• Get an Estimate: Before someone completes an application, they can use the Get an Estimate tool (available from the Health Connector’s home page). Individuals enter information including the coverage year, their zip code, family size, and projected income. The tool “estimates” whether they may be eligible for savings, what those savings might be, and the available plans and the cost of their monthly premiums.    

• Plan Comparison Tool: The Health Connector's Plan Comparison tool is also helpful to use before applying for coverage. To use the tool, enter the person’s zip code and answer questions about whether the person is eligible for ConnectorCare, then you can search for preferred providers or prescription medications. The results display the plans that are available within the zip code provided and may also include the preferred providers and prescription medications. This results page does NOT include the cost of monthly premiums. But, when you are in someone’s application, this tool will show available plans with the monthly premiums based on that applicant's eligibility. 

• Health Connector Informational Flyers: As requested, many of the informational flyers have been translated into additional languages. Please visit the Resource Download Center to access the updated materials on MAhealthconnector.org. We recommend bookmarking this page for use during and after Open Enrollment. Some find it helpful to mail these materials to clients before their appointments. 

• Plan Shopping Guides:  Follow the steps in the plan shopping guides to help a member choose a health insurance plan through the Massachusetts Health Connector ConnnectorCare Plan Shopping Guide and the Health Connector Plan Shopping Guide (unsubsidized).
